7.00pm 11th December
Buffet and games for you and your dog.
Please bring a raffle prize – the raffle is in aid of our 2018 charity, St John’s Hospice Moggerhanger.
There will be a collection box at our party for our charity in lieu of giving Christmas cards, if you would like to do this.
This will be the last week of this term.
Please ensure you have entered your results for 2018 into the blue points folder on the table at the Club.
Following the closure of our Obedience Section, we would like to change the Club logo. Below is the current design:
We will be running a competition to submit designs for a new logo to be voted on from a shortlist at the next AGM. There will be a prize for the winning design.
Please submit entries by 31st December 2018. Entries may be submitted on paper (bring these to the Club) or by email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Some points to consider when designing your logo:
- The logo must be monochrome (no colours to be used).
- The Club’s colour of royal blue will form the background to the logo.
- The official name of the Club is Letchworth (First Garden City) Dog Training Club. This may be abbreviated to “Letchworth Dog Training Club”, “Letchworth (FGC) Dog Training Club” or “Letchworth DTC”. The logo must contain one of these name options. As with the current logo design, “First Garden City” may be separated from “Letchworth Dog Training Club”.
- We would like a dog to feature in the logo design.
The session times are as follows:
- 6.40pm – 7.30pm First Session: Class 1 (beginners) and Class 4
- 7.40pm – 8.30pm Middle Session: Class 2 and Class 5
- 8.40pm – 9.30pm Last Session: Class 3 and Class 6
We need help setting up the equipment before the start of the First Session and putting it away after the Last Session.
Due to time constraints on our venue booking, we cannot allow sessions to overrun to compensate for equipment not being set up on time. The first session will end at 7.30pm no matter the start time. This may mean a shorter time available for training. We are asking that members training in the first session arrive at the venue for 6.00pm to set up the equipment. If this is completed before 6.40pm, the session will start early and you will gain extra training time.
For safety reasons please do not bring any dogs into the main or side arena until the equipment set-up has been completed.
Collect ring cards on the day (showing the classes you are entered in and your running order).
The height categories in a class will be run in the order shown.

About an Agility Match
An Agility Match is a small scale show, where the entry is limited to the members of the participating clubs – in this case Letchworth, BATS, Milton Keynes and Wellingborough.
As with Kennel Club shows, dogs must be registered with the Kennel Club, although we accept pet names on the entry forms. A dog that holds an Agility Certificate is not eligible for a Match.
There will be two rings: Agility and Jumping. Classes are organised by grade, there being several classes for which each dog is eligible.
Dogs are awarded points for each result in their class; the winning club is the one with the highest points tally.
Wellingborough are the current holders of the Inter Club shield.
